About the conference

The International Conference on Theoretical Applied Computational and Experimental Mechanics is organized every three years by the Department of Aerospace Engineering IIT Kharagpur. The conference is devoted to providing a platform for scientists and engineers to exchange their views on the latest developments in Mechanics since 1998. ICTACEM Conference is aimed at bringing together academicians and researchers working in various disciplines of mechanics to exchange views as well as to share knowledge between people from different parts of the globe. The 8th ICTACEM will be held from December 20-22, 2021 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

About APCATS

The APCATS is held every two years aimed at discussing the latest developments in aerospace technology and science. The conference provides a platform for scientists and engineers to discuss state-of-the-art ideas, methods, and results, in order to promote the exchanges and collaborations between different disciplines and nations, especially in Asian-Pacific area.

About AJSAE

The AJSAE is held every year and provides an opportunity for scientists and engineers to discuss the state-of-art ideas, methods, and results in aerospace science and technology, and to promote the exchanges and collaborations between different disciplines and nations, especially in Asian area.

About AeSI

Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) was founded on November 17, 1948 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India who then became the first Chief Patron of the Society. The main motto of AeSI is to promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of Aeronautical and Aerospace Science/Technology and also to strive for the elevation of Aeronautical and Aerospace professions. The Kolkata chapter of AeSI organizes a national/international conference every year and is co-organizing the conference with ICTACEM 2021, APCATS 2021 and AJSAE 2021.

About IIT Kharagpur Campus

Kharagpur - a town in eastern India, famous until 1950 as home to the longest railway platform in the world - became the nursery where the seed of the IIT system was planted in 1951. IIT Kharagpur started its journey in the old Hijli Detention Camp once where some of the country's great freedom fighters were held by the colonial government. Spurred by the success of IIT Kharagpur, four younger IITs came up around the country in the two following decades, and from these five came thousands of IITians, the brand ambassadors of modern India. It was the success of this one institution at Kharagpur that wrote India's technological odyssey. The Institute takes pride in its relentless effort to provide the best platform for both education as well as research in the areas of science and technology, infrastructure design, entrepreneurship, law, management, and medical science and technology. IIT Kharagpur is not just the place to study technology, it is the place where students are taught to dream about the future of technology and be innovative and to strive to make the world a better place.
